Mini E Cooper is coming out!

October 24, 2008

Many of you probably don’t know, but the Mini Cooper is my absolute dream car! It’s so cute and small but still has so much power! I’ve wanted one for years. Well, I’ve just found out that BMW is releasing an all-electric Mini later on this year. They are only making 500 at first to try and test them out in real world situations. I’m so excited! The only downside is that they are only two seaters, but that really isn’t bad for me because it’s not like I’m hauling around extra people everyday anyway. What I like about this electric car is that it doesn’t look like some kind of toy or spacecraft like other electric cars do. It looks just like the regular Mini, only with two seats. To see the article in Wired, look here.

1. Team Sugar is an online community for women. You can join and chat with other women or do like me and just lurk and surf. It has different ‘sites’ with different themes. They give you the latest news in your favorite categories. You can surf them all everyday or do like me and just visit your favorites. Here are the ones that I visit everyday: PopSugar for my celeb fix; FabSugar and BellaSugar for my fashion and beauty fix; and last but certainly not least, my favorite out of all of them GeekSugar for my technology fetish. 😀

2. This site I actually found on the aforementioned GeekSugar this week actually. This site is so awesome! It will probably end up making me spend even more money than I normally do. 😀 It’s Woot: One Day, One Deal. Everyday they offer one item at a very discounted price. You have that one day to buy it, or at least until they run out of items. You can look back at old items (but not buy them) and they also have a blog.

3. Gala is only one of the best people anywhere! I love her site and I visit everyday. Her articles are great and her sense of self is just amazing! She is on my blogroll and I totally encourage anyone to visit her site who doesn’t already. Which I highly doubt. 😀

4. I love blazers. I just absolutely love them! I plan to buy a whole slew of them for this fall season. A new trend this season is the Piped Blazer as seen here. Take a look! Hopefully I’ll be having this soon!

5. For those of you planning on losing your minds this November for NaNoWriMo I have a link that I found while trolling their forums. It has a bunch of links that should helpful. And even those who don’t plan to participate, the links should be helpful for any writer. It’s 85 Resources for Fiction Writing.

I’m going to try to make this a regular article every week. Just a little post on Fridays with the links to interesting posts or sites that I find throughout the week. I don’t know how it’s going to go, but we’ll see.

1. I actually found the one my links this week from Nubby this week. So I figured since I visit her site all the time she should definitely be on my very first list anyway.

2. And here is the link that I got from Nubby in the first place. It’s called The Selby and when I saw the site I literally gasped in amazement. The photos of these living and work places are just so totally awesome! When I get my own place I totally plan to use this site as inspiration. I can see how their living spaces could inspire these people to be so creative.

3. Next is the site Kristatomic. She has amazing photos on her site that she takes inspiration from and shares with her readers. Krista just posts whatever catches her eye, which is usually beautiful and eye-catching.

4. Contraiwise is a site that showcases literary tattoos. I love it because it’s giving me ideas for what I may want to use for my own future tattoo. I’ve been carefully coming up with ideas for my own use and this site helps me see what I may or may not want.

5. There are a lot of fashion blogs out there, but this one is one of my favorites just because of it’s focus on fashion and beauty on and for African Americans. I Like Her Style!.
