New Years Resolutions 2009

December 31, 2008

I’ve decided to some up with actual New Years Resolutions this year. I didn’t even make the effort last year, so I’ll try to make up for it this year. I don’t want anything too lofty or hard that I’ll never accomplish, I just want a list of things that I can do to improve myself personally.

1. Drink more water and less sodas – This is definitely something that I do need to work on. I drink way too many carbonated drinks to be healthy. :/ I need to work on drinking water everyday. I’ll probably get a refillable water bottle to carry around with me so I can drink it instead of buying a soda.

2. Doing at least a little exercise every week – I’m not going to fool myself into thinking that I can exercise everyday. But I figure I’ll start off slow and work myself into it. I just want to be healthier overall.

3. Be more organized – I really resolve to be more organized this year. I plan to actually use my planner and to pay attention to up coming events. Especially birthdays. I am notorious for sending cards late. :/ I’ve already started on this my setting up my iCal to send me emails 2 weeks in advance to special dates. I also plan to organize my living space as well. There is so much that I need to throw out that I couldn’t bear to part with before. But I will be clean and maintain that this year. 😀 I hope.

4. Save more money – And last, but not least, I plan to save more money this year. I want to put away at least $100 a month into a separate savings account. Hopefully I’ll be able to put away more especially with the raise I got but I really want to start saving more money this year. I really need to get out of debt and be ready to move out this year.

Christmas Time

December 27, 2008

Hey, guys! A belated Merry Christmas to everyone. 😀 I was so busy getting the last of my shopping and wrapping done. Then I had to work on Christmas day. But I’m glad to be back. I figured I’d pop in and say hi and my holiday haul. Hope I don’t bore everyone.

I didn’t get much which is fine with me. I didn’t really need or want anything much. All I really got was my much wanted Polaroid PoGo Instant Printer I used it and it’s totally awesome! I love that the pictures are stickers too so I use them to decorate my gadgets, etc. 😀 I wonder what my first project will be? I also got some gift cards to my favorite places to shop and cash. And as per tradition I got pajamas from my dad. Very handy gift I say, and they are too cute. 😀 I’ll have to remember to post a picture.

Since I worked on Christmas I didn’t get to do much that day. But the day after my sister and I decided to go to the dollar movie theater and re-see ‘High School Musical 3’. I just love that movie! Too cute. Anyway, just gearing up for New Years now. I’m trying to see if I’ll bother with resolutions this year. I normally don’t and when I do I never remember to do them anyway. :/ I don’t have any plans yet either. I don’t have to work the day after so I don’t have to worry about that. I may just go out and get drunk. 😀

My New Macbook Is Here!

December 16, 2008

I finally got my new Macbook! I finally decided on a previous generation version that was refurbished. It was cheaper than a new one but just as good. Looks totally brand new! I posted pictures on my Flickr so you can get a look at it. 😀 I also got a hardshell case for it and a mouse. I’m just soooo love with it. It’s going to take some getting used to a Mac vs having used a PC all of my life but I’m so excited too.

I know I’m going to be spending the next few days just trying to transfer my files over and getting used to the new system. So, far I really like it though. I really love the menu down at the bottom and the mouse is really awesome. So easy to work with. My only complaint is the trackpad, which is better on the new Macbooks which I tried out in the store, but that’s what the mouse is for anyway.

Which totally reminds me! They sent me two mice! I only ordered the one but now I have an extra. I’m trying to figure out whether to keep the extra or sell it. 😀 Anyway, it’s late so I should go now! Here’s a picture for the road!

December 12, 2008

1. Found this link through Christina. It’s called Glamour Check and it’s all about makeup. 😀 I thought it was just great and thought I’d share it. She runs it with Ashbe and Nicolah.

2. I love Aeri. She has great videos on YouTube teaching you how to cook Korean dishes. My mom used to always try to teach me herself but Aeri makes it much easier because she gives actual measurements! lol

3. I found these two articles useful for those that want to make the most out of your computer. It’s useful, free software for Macs and for Windows. I found some pretty interesting things, especially since my new Macbook is coming in any day now. 😀

4. Poladroid project allows you to upload your photos and put them into a polaroid format for printing or uploading on the internet. It looks too awesome! It’s only for Macs right now but they are alpha testing the Windows version currently. I can’t wait until I can use it. Since real Polaroids are going out with the cease of film production this will have to do for us.

WordPress has a feature that lets snow fall on their blogs! It’s too cute. 😀 I’m so keeping this up.
