New Season of ‘Glee’

September 22, 2011

I’m so excited for the new season of ‘Glee’! The first show aired this week and I can’t wait to see what happens, especially with the dreams of Rachel and Kurt. They are very focused of their dream of going to New York after high school. Their performance of ‘Ding Dong the Witch is Dead’ was amazing! Of course they also got a very big shock when they went to the NYADA mixer. I didn’t watch ‘The Glee Project’ but I did recognize that brunette from the commercials for it. She did have a great voice in the ‘Anything Goes / Anything You Can Do’ mashup. But to me it wasn’t as pleasant as Rachel’s. Very big, but a little rough. But that’s just my opinion.

So this season is shaping up to be really great. All of my favorite characters are back, especially the amazing Sue Sylvester. I love to see her back to her old self. While I do like to see some of the sensitive parts of Sue, she just isn’t the same when she isn’t trying to destroy someone. 🙂 I am a bit over Quinn though. A little dramatic, much?

Anyway, on to my hopes for this season. I really hope that Finn and Rachel are done for good. I’m sorry but I’m not a Finchel fan in the least. He’s a good guy….sort of. But I honestly believe that he would hold Rachel back. Maybe not on purpose, but in the end he could end up really destroying her dreams. And I’d really hate to see that. I really think that Quinn and Finn deserve each other. Quinn’s little prediction of her future with Finn last season seems the most likely step for them. And personally if there is any couple that I really wanted to more of it was Rachel and Puck. They may not last beyond high school, but they are totally hot together. And who said that high school romances are meant to last? Those two could learn a lot from each other, I think. (Puckleberry!) I think that Rachel and Kurt will end up in New York together to take Broadway by storm. There may be a few trip ups along the way, but in the end they’ll make it.

Those are my main hopes for my favorite characters. What about you guys? Looking forward to what’s going to happen this season? Who are your favorites characters/couples?

WWW Wednesday

September 14, 2011

WWW Wednesday is hosted by Should Be Reading. I found this meme through Marie from Ramblings of a Daydreamer. All you have to do is answer three questions.

• What are you currently reading?
• What did you recently finish reading?
• What do you think you’ll read next?

What are you currently reading?
I’m currently reading The Emerald Talisman. I just started and I haven’t had too much time to read so I’m not that far into it yet.

What did you recently finish reading?
I just finished reading Scarlett Fever. It was the second in a series by Maureen Johnson. I really liked it and I do hope that she writes another book for the series soon.

What do you think you’ll read next?
I’m not really sure yet. Right now it’s tie between Maureen Johnson’s Devilish and Erin Morgenstern’s The Night Circus. I’ve been on Maureen Johnson kick lately, but I’ve heard a lot of good things about ‘The Night Circus’ as well. It depends on what I’m in the mood for.

Going to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter

September 10, 2011

I mentioned in my previous post that I’m planning a trip. Well, I am going to Islands of Adventure and the Wizarding World of Harry Potter! It’s going to be a three day trip to Orlando for the weekend before my birthday in November. 🙂 I got a special deal directly from Universal Orlando. It includes the hotel, tickets for 2 days to the park, a set of all the movies on Blueray, and more for two people. I’m going with my sister that weekend and I can’t wait! I’m so excited right now, it’s ridiculous.

I plan to buy so many souvenirs while I’m there. I want to get a wand, treats from the stores, everything! I’m really excited to go now, especially since the final movie has come out. The books and movies are done now, so I’ll have to get my fix through other sources. 🙂 (I plan to start rereading the books again, too.)

I really want this time to move faster. Ever since I made the actual reservations for the trip time has slowed down considerably. Of course, in October Pottemore will be open to everyone so hopefully that will help to pass the time. Along with reading the books, I’ll have to find something to help distract me until it’s finally time to leave for my trip.

Have any of you ever gone to the Wizarding World of Harry Potter? How was it? For those you haven’t gone, do you want to? 🙂

Well, I didn’t get to complete the photo challenge. I’m actually proud that I made it as far as I did. I’m not really known for my follow through, unfortunately. But I did get through most of the month, so yay me! I’ve been making plans for a trip in November and I got a bit caught up. 😉 More on that in another post. Anyway, if you want to see the pictures I did get to take I put them all on my Flickr account.

In the meantime, I’ve been reading quite a bit lately. I think I burnt myself out on reading early in the year, but I’ve been bitten by the bug again. 🙂 I’ve been reading like crazy and finally caught up on my plan to read at least 100 books this year. You can see my progress on my Goodreads page. 69 books and counting!
